Ahead are some photographs of the winter world as experienced inside of my house. All of these images were created on a cold winter morning after the humidifier had been running all night. These ephemeral ice formations merged with the rising sun to create unforgettable images that evaporated with the heat of the day. Each year, I am drawn to these miniature worlds of wonder that appear on the glass and in the mind's eye. The last few images are of more permanent crystals, also greatly enlarged.
