The weather had definitely changed for the worse, which gave the landscape an eerie, misty look. The sense of the incredible expanse was enhanced by the bright cloudy sky. The desolate, other-wordly feeling was in sharp contrast to the feeling of community I shared with my fellow travelers. No caravansary here, however.
